My Scope of Practice
As a UKIHCA-Registered Health & Wellness Coach, I work within a clearly defined scope of practice — here's what that means for you.
What I do
I support you as a partner and facilitator — not an expert telling you what to do. That means helping you get clear on your own goals around health, energy, sleep, movement, stress and lifestyle, and working alongside you to build sustainable habits and change that actually sticks. I offer accountability, ask the questions that help you find your own answers, and where useful, point you towards well-established public health guidance and resources. I collaborate with other healthcare professionals where it's helpful for your care, and I'll always work in partnership with you, not direct at you.
What I don't do
I don't diagnose conditions, interpret lab results or medical test data, prescribe or de-prescribe medication or treatment, recommend supplements, prescribe meal plans, or give specific individual dietary or medical advice. If something you bring to a session sits outside coaching — a symptom, a diagnosis, a medication question — I'll always point you back to your GP or the right qualified professional rather than guess.
Working together
I'll always be clear with you at the outset of our work together about what coaching can and can't offer, so you know exactly what to expect. If you're ever unsure whether something we're discussing falls inside or outside my scope, just ask — I'd always rather be upfront about it.
I'm a UKIHCA-Registered Health Coach, trained through the Health Coaches Academy, and hold professional indemnity insurance covering my practice.
